Catherine Hurley | Profile

Prior to establishing her consulting career, Catherine Hurley held senior management and policy development positions with the Canadian government’s Department of Communications and Department of Canadian Heritage, where she managed large-scale public granting programs and was instrumental in communications media and cultural policy development. She also had a distinguished career in educational broadcasting.

In addition to her graduate work in broadcasting and communications media, Catherine holds an international certification in philanthropy as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) since 2006 (recertification 2009, 2012, 2015, and 2018; read the 2018 CFRE press release here). She is an active member of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners and the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and is a graduate of the AFPs Faculty Training Academy. Catherine was the recipient of the President’s Award from Centennial College, Toronto.
