Peterborough Historical Society | 2012–2013

  • Designed and delivered an Organizational Development Workshop with the board and senior volunteers of the society.

Ontario Tourism Education Corporation (OTEC) | 2012

  • Led OTEC’s senior management team through a new strategic partnership and business development discussion; several of the CHC-identified initiatives have resulted in new clients for OTEC, along with identified sources of funding, and are now reflected in OTEC’s strategic plan to 2017. 

Randolph College for the Performing Arts (RCPA), Toronto | 2011–2012

  • Created a Philanthropic Capacity Building Plan that identified board governance best practices, a Development Case for Support and Fund Development Strategy for the college to 2017.

Town of Oakville, Culture Plan | 2008–2009

  • Co-authored “Creative Economy, Culture: A Cultural Plan for Oakville”  in partnership with Authenticity Consultants.

Centennial College, Culture & Heritage Institute (CHI), Toronto |  2005–2012

  • Authored and implemented the UNESCO/CHI five-year “International Business Partnership Strategy,” a business development and fund development plan. 

Sheridan Institute, Oakville | 2005

  • Authored “An Overview of the Domain of Information Technology and Creative Practices,”  which included a fund development strategy. 

Creative City Culture Plan, Toronto | 2002

  • Chaired the Cultural Industries Sector Roundtable.

Department of Canadian Heritage | 2002

  • Authored “An Overview of Arts Philanthropy in the U.S.A.,” a research report for the Department of Canadian Heritage, Arts Policy Branch, on the key findings from the Grantmakers in the Arts Conference, North Carolina.

  • Authored “Towards a National Arts Endowment”; research support for the federal Cabinet submission establishing a Canadian Arts Endowment.

The Canadian Artists and Producers Professional Relations Tribunal | 2000

  • Co-authored “Performance Reporting Evaluation Framework and Research Report to Parliament,” a performance review in the administration of the Status of the Artist Act (1992 proclamation), on behalf of the tribunal.

Audio-Visual Preservation Trust of Canada | 1999–2001

  • CEO and Executive Director: Successfully managed a 100% volunteer-based organization comprising national private and public sector partners.

  • Undertook comprehensive board governance review of bylaws and committee structure.
